WORLD'S GREATEST BY R. KELLY

WORLD'S GREATEST by R. Kelly

Who´s the worlds greatest
Who´s the worlds greatest
The worlds greatest
I am a mountain
I am a tall tree ohh
I am a swift wind sweeping the country
I am a river down in the valley ohh
I am a vision and I can see clearly
If anybody asks you who I am
Just stand up tall
Look 'em in the face and say
I'm that star up in the sky
I'm that mountain peak up high

Hey I made it Mmm..I'm the world's greatest
I'm that little bit of hope
When my backs against the ropes
I can feel it Mmm..
I'm the world's greatest
the world greatest,
the world greatest, ever
I am a giant
I am an eagle ooh
I am a lion
Down in the jungle
I am a marching band I am the people ooh
I am a helping head
I am a hero
If anybody asks you who I am
Just stand up tall
Look 'em in the face and say
I'm that star up in the sky
I'm that moutain peak up high
Hey, I made itMmmm...I'm the world´s greatest
I'm that little bit of hopeWhen my backs against the ropes
I can feel itMmmm...I'm the world´s greatest
In the ring of life, I'll reign love (I will reign)
And the world will notice a king (Oh Yeah..)
When there is darkness, I'll shine a light (Shine a light..)
And mirrors of success reflect in me
I'm that star up in the sky (uh, uh)
I'm that mountain (peak up high) peak up high
Hey I made It (hey I made it)
I'm the worlds greatest (I'm that little bit)I'm that little bit of hope (uh, uh)
When my back's against the ropes (oh yeah)
I can feel it (I can feel it)
I'm the world's greatestoooohhhhhhhhhhh
I'm that star up in the sky (star up in the sky)
I'm that mountain peak up high (oh yes I am)
Hey I made It (I made it)
I'm the worlds greatest
(I'm that little bit of hope)
I'm that little bit of hope (ohhhhhhohhhh)
When my back's against the ropes ohhhhhh (when my back's against the ropes)
I can feel it ( I can feel it)
I'm the world's greatest (repeat)
It's the greatest
Can you feel it
It's the greatest
I saw the light
At the end of a tunnel
Believe in the pot of gold
At the end of the rainbow
To pull me through, yeah
Used to be locked doors
Now I can just walk on through
Hey, uh, hey, hey, hey, yeah
It's the greatestI'm that star up in the sky
I'm that star up in the sky
I'm that moutain peak up high
Hey, I made it
I'm the world´s greatest
I'm that little bit of hope
When my backs against the ropes
I can feel itI'm the world´s greatest
I saw the light
At the end of a tunnel
Believe in the pot of gold
At the end of the rainbow
To pull me through, yeah
Used to be locked doors
Now I can just walk on through
Hey, uh, hey, hey, hey, yeah
It's the greatest
I'm that star up in the sky
I'm that star up in the sky
I'm that mountain peak up high
Hey, I made it
I'm the world´s greatest
I'm that little bit of hope
When my backs against the ropes
I can feel it
I'm the world's greatest

*I heard this song at the beginning of last year. It hit me as a really inspirational song, which was interesting, because the music that I have from R. Kelly is very upbeat and fast. This song is slow and makes you really think about what the writer must have been feeling when he wrote and recorded this. Last year at the end of the school year, my friend and I sat in her car and listened to this song over and over, remembering and thinking back to our sophomore year. It was sad, but it was happy at the same time.

*I think that this song hits me as an emotional song is because of the rhythm of the song and also definitely the lyrics as well. He sings about always going forward, never stopping, always having that little bit of hope "at the end of the tunnel", or "at the end of the rainbow".

*One chunk of the song that I love is at the end:
I'm that star up in the sky

I'm that mountain peak up high

Hey i made it

I'm the world's greatest
I'm that little bit of hope
When my backs against the ropes
I can feel it
I'm the world's greatest
I think that this part is significant because it is the end of the song, as well as the end of the singer's journey. he sings about the fact that he finally made it, past the obstacles and ended higher and better. him finishing and achieving his goal is that little bit of hope for the next person.
+Write about a time when you struggled to do something, and ended up either failing or succeeding.
+Write about a song that gives you hope when you think that you will never achieve something, or a song that encourages you to go on.

One song that gives me hope is "Hold On" by Good Charlotte. It is about a depressed teen and about never giving up. No matter how hard life is all you need to do is hold on. That song though somewhat depressing, I listen to when I'm sad and it makes me hopeful.

One song that gives me hope is "If you wanna sing out sing out" by Cat Stevens. the song just tells the listener to do whatever they feel like. Whatever makes you feel better is basically the main idea. it tells the listeners how easy it is to let go of all problems and focus on something else like singing!!! this song always brings a smile to my face!! :]]]
